Oh how they love each other!

Aunt Morgie had to leave early for work so she didn't make the group shot!

Our little Katelyn is changing so fast! She is all over the place and now at 7 1/2 months she is pulling up on everything! She has a very funny personality! She is a great eater just like Karlee! I have really enjoyed making her food as well. We love our girls!

Potty Trained!!!!

New Dora Panties!!! Karlee is in big girl panties during the day and pull up for bed! She is doing awesome!!! It took exactly one week to be completely potty trained..now she just goes by herself and doesn't even tell us. This is GREAT!
I tried to catch her in the act without her knowing....funny that she was looking at a magazine!
She noticed and got mad at me....
but then the pee pee started coming out and she threw down the magazine and started cheering! So glad I had the camera! Her treat for going to the potty has been 5 mini marshmallows. I'm so proud of my Karlee! Now as I write this at 9:30 Karlee just went to sleep without her paci for the first time. She has screamed for the past hour and half. I feel so bad for her but it is time to get rid of it. She was starting to chew them and she could bite it into and choke so it's a safety thing. I'll post about how we got rid of the paci later!

Christmas at Great Grans!

I love celebrating Christmas at Great Grans. Of course we have 5 wild children running around but I guess I'm just use to that so I am still going to describe it as a really peaceful day. Gran just makes things special! I love the traditions from the hot cider to the Christmas Story and family prayer! I hope that one day when my family comes to my house for Holidays they will get the same feeling I get when I walk into Gran's!

First present the girls opened was a baby Clifford and a big Clifford Karlee was excited until she heard the big one talk! She was scared so we put it away fast so that she wouldn't lose it for the rest of the night!

We worked as a family to help Katelyn open her presents!

Merry Christmas!

We opened presents at our house on Christmas Eve before going to Grandmamas and Grand daddy's! We had planned on being at our house on Christmas morning but the forecast was calling for snow starting at midnight so to play it safe we drove on to Clarksville late Christmas Eve night. "Santa" came while the girls and I were getting our bath so we mostly videoed the girls and left me and James out of the pics! Karlee was so excited to get a guitar and right away started playing and singing..."My God is So BIG So STRONG and So Mighty!" Katelyn loved her blocks and baby doll. Karlee also got a painting for her room and they both got a new book. Karlee got a book about the Christmas Story and we will read it every Christmas morning! Katelyn got her first Bible stories book. They also got matching Cat and the Hat PJs. We love buying for our girls but we are going to try to keep our Christmas to 3 or 4 presents each! We sang Happy Birthday to Jesus and read the Christmas Story and had a nice time as a little family of four!

Sisterly love!

Well, my last post was of Halloween and I have to say I don't really remember the month of November. My sister in law wrote a post about how she slacked in posting during the month of November because of the business of having twin 2 year olds and really I feel the same way with only one 2 year old! I am completely exhausted at the end of the day. I have George (10months old) 3 days a week and Karlee (2 years old) and Katelyn (5months old). George is here on Wed. from 7-5 and then we eat dinner go to community group at 6:30 come home go to bed and then he is back on Thursdays 7-5 and after that I am a zombie! I have been trying to relieve some stress by running! It really is not horrible though...I feel very blessed to be able to influence another child's life and bring in some extra money for our family. I told James I feel pretty prepared to have 3 children of our own and he says we are not prepared financially! Ha Ha! We would have to buy a bigger car! We will work on that in a few years! Anyways, I'll give a quick update of the girls!
Karlee is a talking machine! It absolutely amazes me the conversations we have. She has the most tender and caring heart. She is all the time complimenting me and rubbing my hair telling me," Mom I love you so very much"! She loves her family and talks about each of you all the time. She pretends to talk on the phone to Uncle Freddy and Frank a lot! She talks about how she will celebrate Jesus' Birthday with Aunt Susan. She always includes everybody in her prayers by name. "Great Gran bought me special treats.." She talks about Pa's favorite cookies and Nay Nay's baby's dolls. Fuzzy and Louis are talked about as well!! She names her dolls Kathryn and Sarah! Aunt Jodi and Uncle Chad, Sophie and Sutton are always on her mind. She tells me everything she does special with Grandmama and Grand daddy! She prays for Morgie and Matt! She loves her cousin Trey baby and the baby in Aunt Carrie's belly. She talks about Aunt Joan, Papaw and Devee, Lexie and Jeffery. On and on...we are def. talking about each of you EVERYday!
Katelyn is doing awesome! She is so sweet and tender as well. She is a mover and a talker like her sister! She has a little raspy voice...can't wait to hear her actually talk! She is so content and just does her own thing most of the time. If she cries you pretty much know she is tired or hungry or needs a diaper change. Katelyn responds to Karlee so well. I absolutely love to see the love they already have for each other. She is rolling and scooting everywhere. I'm sure she will crawl really soon. She is taking great naps and sleeping well at night. I love my girls!
That's the most I have ever wrote in a post...I did it to share with family but also for me to look back on. The blog is pretty much their baby books!

Karlee was very scared of Bert and Ernie and Charlie Brown...She made Sophie go get the candy and bring it back to her! They live just a couple of houses down so every time we pass by Karlee talks about Bert and Ernie and how they gave her candy.

We had a lot of fun on Halloween. Great Gran and Nay Nay came from Clarksville. Uncle Chad, Aunt Jodi, Sophie and Sutton and Grandmama came from M'boro. Karlee and Katelyn really enjoyed having their family with them on Halloween!

Katelyn has found her voice and she gets feisty when Karlee gets in her face! It is really cute!! She is also grabbing at everything. It's so fun to see a little personality in our little Kate bug!
Looks like mouth to mouth but this is Karlee's kisses...if you ask for a kiss she will give you one right on the mouth! (Ask Aunt Donna!!)

Little Katelyn is growing up so fast! I'm really enjoying having my two girls at home everyday. It is such a blessing to watch them grow. I know they are going to have so much fun together through out the years!

Chattanooga Weekend

We went to Chattanooga for an old college friends wedding! We had a great time at the wedding visiting with good friends and even family!
Amanda, me and Ellie...so fun to see these girls again!
Aunt Dee and Uncle John were there as well..we stayed at the same hotel as them and we all had breakfast together the next morning. Karlee was so excited to see her family!

The Shephard family was there as well.
So during the day Saturday we took the girls to the Aquarium. We had so much fun!
Grandmama came with us to experience the aquarium with Karlee and be "babysitter" that night while we went to the wedding! Thank you sooooo much Grandmama!

We actually bought a family pass that is good for the whole year. If we just go back one more time it will save us money. It was the perfect weekend getaway. And really you could make it a day trip! Great times!

I didn't take very many pictures but we really had a nice with Great Gran, Sarah and Nay Nay a couple of Fridays ago. I really need to go to Clarksville during the week more often. Karlee talks about her family all the time and I feel like we don' t get to see James side of the family enough. Gran fixed a great lunch and Nay Nay came during her lunch break for a quick visit. After lunch Sarah and I went to Beads n More and made a necklace. We had a great time! Great Gran from the words of Kathryn,"you are something special"! We all believe it!

Taking a meal to the Lambs

Katelyn is only 3 months older than her cousin Sutton but she looks like a giant! It is amazing how much they grow in just 3 months.
Our children were WILD! Katelyn was on the move in this one!
We took the Lambs a meal a couple of Fridays ago and it became a reality of how many wild children we have! We sat down at the table with a child at each corner and Chad said, "Do we really have this many kids...same amount of children to adults!" After that I said "Yes, and do you all have any wine?!!" We had a very nice pasta dinner with a glass of wine each! Ha Ha!

Karlee is all over Katelyn all the time....she loves putting stuff on her head and being silly with her. Katelyn is going to have to put up with a lot! Katelyn is sitting in her bumbo seat really well these days!
About a week ago she rolled from back to belly and now she goes both ways and she is all over the place!!!
Karlee cheers her on and tries to help her and then Karlee gets down beside her and rolls over for me to clap...she is a mess!

Both of my girls are good and healthy! Karlee is 3 feet tall and they say that at 2 you can double your height and get an estimate of how tall you will be. Hopefully she will be a little shorter then 6ft. !!!

Celebrating Karlee's 2nd Birthday

Karlee's Birthday was on a Wednesday so we just went to the park and played until dark! She loves playing with her Daddy at the park!
Katelyn's first time to the park! (This picture shows her monkeys and something funny that Karlee says when Katelyn is upset in the car is...(shouting)"Mommy Katelyn needs to suck her monkeys!!" Katelyn does love to suck on her little monkeys...it is to funny!

On Friday we celebrated her birthday at the zoo with Sophie and The Flower girls!
We had one group of beautiful girls!
Pretty Pretty Princess....she loves the tricycle Nay Nay and Pa got her!
Uncle Chad decorated her cake..(I baked it!) AWESOME!

Karlee really enjoyed her cake...funny that at the one year old party everybody watched her eat her cake and this year she just sat in the corner and eat her cake while everybody was watching the game in the living room!

Sutton Chadwick Lamb

My sweet nephew came into this world today!!! He weighed 7 pounds 13 oz and 19.5 inches long. He is a cutie!!! He really doesn't know what he is in for though with the three older girls!

She named all the shapes and colors and then she quizzed me!!!
Karlee loves to play with older girls..she really followed around these two girls and tried her best to act just like them. They were sweet girls and let her play with them.
Driving the ambulance screaming "emergency emergency"...she heard someone else say it so of course she repeat everything!!

Karlee and I had a great time at the Science center. We actually bought a family pass off groupon and we have only gone 3 times but it has already paid for itself in those 3 visits. I know we will go more when the weather gets cold. It felt soooo good to spend some quality time with my Karlee!

A new addition to our family...

Ha Ha! I bet that got some of your attention. I am now watching my friend's little boy, George, three days a week. He has been here two weeks already and everything is going great! It really is not that much different from having 2 kiddos. You are busy all day and exhausted at night either way! I really prayed about taking on this commitment and I feel that God placed George in my life for a reason! I have the opportunity to have an influence on another child God and that makes me smile! It also gives us a little extra money each month and every little bit helps! The reason I titled it a new addition to our family is Karlee added him to her prayer the other day and while praying she names all the family and she said George while peeking at us to see our reaction to her addition to the family!

For some reason Karlee is really into rough housing with Sophie....she likes to tackle her petty hard...sorry Sophie. Of course she is just playing around!
Eating Pirate Booty again...it definitely is their favorite snack. Although the other day my family was at our house and mom gave Karlee an ice cream sandwich and she said, "this may be Karlee's favorite snack!" She is really saying everything now. She makes complete sentences and knows when to say things...it blows my mind.

Katelyn is a very healthy baby just like her sister! She is in the 90th percentile. She is doing really good on her tummy and is cooing and smiling all day long! I love my Kate bug!

My emotions are so hard to describe right now. My Mammaw Rhea has been battling lung cancer for the last year and the Lord called her home last night. She is in no more pain, no more suffering and she is sitting at the feet of the Lord right now. My dad called me at 2:15am and said she had passed away, but the way she got to leave this world was awesome. She had all her children surrounding her and they were all singing Amazing Grace together when she took her last breath here on Earth. I know that she is still singing that song but now she is face to face with our Great King! Mammaw you will be truly missed here on Earth but we know you are in a much better place. And this is not the end....we will see you again!

A visit to Sevierville..

Please pray for my Mammaw Rhea (my daddy's mother). She has lung cancer and the doctors said it would not be long before she leaves this world to be with the Lord. We don't want her to be in pain anymore but we are selfish human that want her here on the Earth with us. She is one of the strongest women I know and I know that she loves the Lord and that is where she will be. Please pray for the family as we go through this though time.

We love Annie (0ur dog) very much and that is why we decided to give her to a good family friend of ours. It was just to hard to keep up with both girls and give Annie the attention she needed. We gave her to a great home and we feel like she is still apart of our family!

Katelyn at her one week appt. she was down to 8.3 pounds but we actually went today for her 2 week appt and she weighed in at 9.6 pounds!
The first day by myself Karlee decided to run a temp. of 101 and only eat toast....we figured out she is cutting her 2 year old molars. I have been up with Karlee way more then with Katelyn. This has been a big challenge.
The Flower's family came to visit and brought us dinner...Karlee had a blast with the girls!
I love my girls!!!! This is just week one!!! I will update week 2 soon! I promise!

Doctor update...

I went to the doctor today and I'm dilated at a 4!!! We are still waiting to see if she will come before Tuesday but if not the induction will be Tuesday the 22nd at 7am. Yay Katelyn will be here so soon! We are delivering at Baptist this time!

Sophie got sick....Sorry Jodi and David but I'm glad that wasn't me!!!
The next day ended up like this for us....Sophie shared whatever she had with Karlee...She ran 102.5 temp. for 2 days.

Okay Doctors Update:
I went to the doctor last Thursday and my doctor said that I looked ready...dilated at a good three and she is sitting really low. My doctor made the decision to go ahead and set up an induction date since my labor with Karlee was really fast. So, if Katelyn doesn't come by June 22nd (Next Tuesday) then that will be the day!!!!! YAY!! We are excited!

Jodi has been taking Sophie to a Wild things class every Wednesday, so a couple of weeks ago Karlee and I went to the class to check it out! The girls had a blast!!!! They sang lots of songs and looked at real Crayfish...Karlee looked at them and said "ewww" while Sophie was right in the box hands on!!! At the end of the class we did art and then took a nature walk. It was a lot of fun!

My family took a last minute vacation to Perdio Key about a month ago...that shows you how behind I am on updating the blog!!! My dad was informed on a Friday that if he wanted a week vacation it needed to me the following week, so they left for Perdio Key on the Sunday and Jodi's family, Morgan, Karlee and I headed up Thursday evening for a long weekend. Poor James could not get off on such a short notice. We had a lot of fun! We are suppose to go back to the beach with James' family at the end of July depending on how bad the oil gets. I sure hope we get a week with his family too!

Karlee got creative after several days inside....she turned her saltine cracker into an animal cracker....we heard her saying bunny rabbit hop hop and we looked and she actually made it look like a bunny! We laughed soooo hard!
Karlee is really into dressing and undressing herself so sometimes we find her with no clothes on!
We got the phone call from channel 5 saying take cover so we did! Karlee loved being in the bathtub with blankets! We are thankful we didn't have any damage...we only went without cable and internet for a while.

We were stuck in the house for a few days but at least we were safe. I wish we would have taken pictures of the road by our house. I'm sure you have seen it all on the news! Our prayers really do go out to all the families and businesses effected by this storm.

Thinking about a name???? I had her repeating all kinds of names! It was pretty funny!
Karlee decided on this one!!! Katelyn ? Alfonso!!!!!

We have been going back and forth for a few weeks now with a name and this is our final decision! This is how we picked the name... When we were picking a name for Karlee we wanted to use Lee in the name somewhere because I had just lost my grandfather and I wanted to use his name and when we saw the spelling of Karlee we really liked it. I know it's kind of cheesy but we also say that it is my mom's name (Karen) and Lee put together to make Karlee! SO, when we were thinking of a name for this one we really wanted to use a part of James' mother's name (Kathy Lynn) and when we saw the spelling of Katelyn we thought it would be perfect. So, they are not fully named after their grandmothers but we can tell them the story one day!!!
We need help with a middle name. That is to be determined! Maybe Karlee can help with that one too!! Just kidding!

This past week one of my best friends from back home and her husband experienced a heartbreaking experience. Candace was only 10 days behind me in pregnancy and she went into labor last Friday and had to give birth to her son. He was just to small to make it so they had to experience losing a child. My family is good family friends with both Kevin and Candace and we have been grieving with them all week. It was good to just go back home and spend time with them this past week, but I really can't imagine what they are going through. Our prayers will still be lifted for them as the experience life after this tragedy. We know that little Carson James Moon is with our Savior in Heaven and that we will see him one day.

This was seconds after it happend.....she is the strongest little girl!
A couple of days later....it actually turned pretty dark then started to heal.
"Karlee smile" and this is what we get!!!!!!!!

Last weekend was pretty interesting in the Alfonso house. On Friday Karlee had spent the day with my sister Jodi and Sophie. Jodi called me around 2p.m. to tell me Karlee felt warm and she wasn't acting herself. So, James went to pick her up after work and when he brought her home she just laid in floor and would not move....we knew something was wrong. I came home from work and took one look at her and took her temp. and of course it was 103.6. Yikes.....It scared me. Well, long story short the Motrin brought the temp. down but then it would spike back up....it did that all weekend.
We had planned on going to Clarksville for the weekend. I actually had a jewelry show at Aunt Donna's house on Saturday morning so we headed on to Clarksville. By the way, the party turned out awesome....thanks so much Aunt Donna. We were glad we went on to Clarksville because Nay Nay really helped us take care of Karlee. THANK YOU Nay Nay!!!
Okay so we get home Saturday night and Karlee had a burst of energy when we walked in the door and ran towards her toys and she ran straight into her table. She cried for a minute and James and I were telling her she was okay but really I had tears in my eyes to see her with a black eye!
Karlee had a hard weekend, but she is all better now! Thank the Lord!
I wanted to take more pictures in Clarksville but with her sick it just didn't happen.

GIRL!!!! We are very excited to announce that Karlee is going to have a sister!!! You should hear Karlee say "I love you Sister"...I wish I knew how to download video. Maybe James can figure it out! Anyway, We are happy to hear the good report that everything looked healthy on the ultrasound! We know that Karlee and the baby will have so much fun playing dolls and dressing up together! Although one of James' first comments was we better start saving now for their weddings!!
So, We don't really have a name picked out yet. If anybody has an suggestions we would love to hear! Any family names??

Okay so we find out tomorrow if we are having a boy or a girl and I'm getting pretty anxious! I was wondering if anybody had any strong feelings one way or the other!!! Ha Ha! We really don't care what it is as long as we get a good report from the doctor.

Well, Lately we have been so busy and I've just been exhausted. I don't want to sound negative but it's been really hard lately getting home at 6:30 and being completely exhausted from the pregnancy and then trying to be a good wife and mother. I feel like I have let myself go and I'm not sure what I'm trying to say, but Please pray for us! I pray that my work would not be so stressful, that I would be able to take care of myself and my family, and that we would just Trust in the Lord for His future plans for us especially when baby #2 gets here. I'm willing to do what it takes to help support my family, but I'm praying that there is a way that I can spend more time with my kids. Okay....I just had to pour out my heart for a minute! Yay!!! We ordered a new camera today!!!! And it will be here on Thursday...fast shipping! We wanted to invest in a really good camera since I'm finally taking pictures now that we have a cute little girl to take picture of!!! ha ha! So, we were really debating which camera would be best for us and our budget...then we received a generous gift to help us with our camera budget...so we got the one really wanted!!! James' cousin, Angie, is an amazing photographer and she uses this camera. Although I know it takes talent to capture the picture, I would like to think I can get better pictures with this camera. My sister also has the same camera and she loves it. Okay, enough about the camera...I'm just really excited! So, check back for pictures Thursday night or Friday!!! (don't expect great pictures.....I'm just dreaming that I could take them like Angie!)

In Loving Memory of my Uncle Gary....

My Uncle Gary went to be with the Lord on Saturday Sept. 12th. Uncle Gary has battled many things in his life here on Earth and the Lord decided to take him home this time. He had a treatment on Friday that made him not feel well, and while my Aunt Karen went to the grocery store something happened that ended his life here on Earth. We were all shocked that he was taken away from us so soon....he is only 56 years old. But, we know that he is no longer suffering. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. In the picture is Uncle Gary and Aunt Karen, their son Adam and his wife Amanda and son Corbin. (Adam and Amanda now have a second child Karlee's age named Aidan. The picture was take a while back!) Please pray for them. For those that don't know Uncle Gary is my mother's brother. We know that we will meet him again one day but for now he will be dearly missed here on Earth.

I planned a little overnight getaway for James for his birthday. We went to Chattanooga for some R&R Saturday morning and came back Sunday afternoon. Jodi was in charge of making the room reservation so James would not see it on our bank statement and she got us a wonderful deal at the Marriott Hotel. We were on the concierge level in a room that rents for $300 a night and we paid $66! Anyway, we enjoyed our time away but we really missed Karlee. On the other hand I'm not sure Karlee even knew we were gone. She had a great time with Grandmama and Grand-daddy! Enjoy the pictures!

Karlee is doing much better. She has not thrown up since Wed. noonish. But, the blowouts are still keeping us on our toes. My mom watched her Thurs. so I could go back to work and she had a blowout in her pack n play that got all over her toys, covered her from head to toe. Yuck. Then, this morning I woke up to the same beautiful mess in her crib. I guess I'm getting what I prayed for....for the bug to exit her body and not to enter any of ours. It's definitely exiting!

Karlee has the stomach virus....she is so pitiful. My mom was watching Karlee today while James and I were at work. (For those who don't know James got a job!!!!! Yea!) Anyway, My sister brought Sophie over to play but the day did not end up so pleasant. Jodi called me at work to tell me that Karlee had thrown up 3 times already and that she wasn't getting any better. So, of course I came straight home to take care of my baby. When I got here mom had already done several loads of laundry. She threw up all over our rug, couch and ottoman, and all over her bed. Poor girl. What was so cute is that she still tried to have a good personality. She was still doing her tricks....barking, doing the monkey, "praising Jesus", and telling us she's one!
Well, I'm off to bed. Karlee is sleeping soundly. Please pray that this virus exits her little body and doesn't not enter any of ours!!!!

In the mornings the kids would play together on the balcony while we had our coffee!!!

We had so much fun at the beach with James' family. Thank you to all the family for helping us with Karlee! And a special thanks to Gran for making this trip happen! We love you all and look forward to many more family vacations in the years to come!

We decided today that we would take Karlee to get her pictures done since it had been a while. We took her to Portrait Innovations which I would describe as the "fast food" of a portrait place. But....they actually do a pretty good job for pretty cheap! So, these are the 3 poses we chose so let me know which one you would like...if you would like one. We have plenty!!!! The pictures on here are not touched up so they may look a little different than the one you will get.

Karlee started out with just one bottom tooth and then all at once she got the other bottom tooth and 4 teeth on the top!!! She was a champ for the most part just a wake up cry here and there! She looks like a different baby now!
She is getting really interested in feeding herself so this morning I let her go wild with her super porridge! Of course I just took her straight to the tub afterward.
I LOVE this age....she is so much fun!

We had a relaxing day on the 4th. James, Karlee and I just hung out together during the day and then we met my side of the family at Arrington Vineyards for a picnic dinner! We had a great time out side playing with the girls with live music in the background. But then a big storm came so we all jumped in our cars and headed back to our house. We ended up having a women vs. men battle of catch phrase!!! SO MUCH FUN!
On Sunday after church Pap and Marcia came over for lunch! We love spending time with family!

Karlee turned 9 months old on June 22nd. She is weighing in at 19 pounds and 8 ounces and she is 29 1/2 inches long!!!! The doctor said she was in the 98th percentile in length. She is a super healthy little girl! She LOVES her food. She eats all kinds of food these days. Here is an example of how much she eats in one day!
7AM Nursed
8:30ish Super porridge (several grains, beans,green veggie and fruit, top it off with kelp powder, wheat germ and flax seed!!!)
11ish Nursed
12:30 Lunch Yogurt based with fruit and tahini
3ish Nursed
6:30 Nursed and Dinner Some type of protein (loves grilled chicken!), veggie and fruit
Between 7:30 and 8 Goodnight Karlee!

We had a cookout with some of our friends from church last weekend and Karlee really hit it off with Brayden. He is one month younger than Karlee. It is fun now that they are finally interacting a little bit with each other. We always enjoy the company of the Mangus Family and the Thomas Family!

Karlee has so much fun with her grandparents! My mom especially can really get Karlee going!!!!
Also, James and I took Karlee to the zoo for the first time! We had fun with Aunt Jodi, Uncle Chad, Sophie, Grandmama and Grand-daddy, Jennifer, Bryan and Grant (Chad's sister and family)!!! I'm sure we will be making many trips to the zoo! This time my mom was the only one who acted out.....she embarrassed me screaming out at the monkeys! My cousin David and his wife Carrie (who is one of my best friends!) became parent's on Sunday morning. We have been so anxious to meet little Trey so we headed to Knoxville right away to get our hands on him!!!
In the post below I said that we ended up staying in Clarksville on Saturday night without really being prepared to stay.....well, that night we get a phone call saying Carrie was in labor and that was the start of a long night! I could not sleep because I just kept thinking about what Carrie and Davie were going through and thinking back to the feelings I had when we were in their position. Finally when Karlee woke up that morning we decided just to get in the car (with the same clothes as we wore the day before) and head to Knoxville to see him in person. I'm so glad we went and spent the day with our new "nephew"!!!
David and Carrie we are so happy for you and we know that you are going to be great parents!
We love all three of you!!!

We went to Clarksville on Saturday to celebrate Gran's birthday! Karlee had so much fun that she was fast asleep when everybody started leaving, so we just decided to spend the night at Nay Nay and Pa's house.
Gran you sure are special! You mean so much to us and we are so blessed to have you as our grandmother. Karlee loves her Great Gran!!!

Karlee turned 8 months on May 22nd! She is now crawling and pulling up on everything. She says "bye bye", "dad dad", "Ma ma" and barks!!!! We gave her a teething biscuit and she loved it so we made it our 8 month pictures!

We celebrated Gran's 75th birthday in Clarksville and then drove to Knoxville to meet my cousin's baby boy on Sunday. Of course I consider him as a nephew.....we are so blessed that we have a new healthy baby boy in the family!

We went to visit family in ATL this weekend, and we really had a great time! Karlee enjoyed interacting with all the kiddos! James' cousin Angie and her family just adopted little Silas from Ethiopia so it was our first time to meet him! He is absolutely a beautiful and sweet baby!
I was disappointed that Angie didn't have her camera because she is an amazing photographer. Oh well....enjoy the pictures!

Hey this is my mommy...No! I had her first!!!!!!!

Friday night we were just going to stay in and relax but Aunt Jodi called and asked us to meet them at Arrington Winery just down the road from us, so we made a picnic and relaxed there instead. It was so nice! The weather was perfect, they had live music, Karlee and Sophie had fun playing together and of course the wine was great!!! You can look at Jodi's blog to see pictures. Her link is under the blogs we read...Chad and Jodi + one!
Saturday morning we cleaned house....much needed! Then, our friends The Flower's came over for lunch. They have two daughters so Karlee had a big time watching them play and trying to join in a little bit!
Saturday night we went to dinner with Pap and his friend Marcia! We had a Japanese and Karlee had asparagus, avocado, mango and yogurt all mixed together....Pap just can't believe she eats that stuff..but she LOVES it!
Sunday we went to church. We absolutely love our church! Then, I went to babysit Jackson Allen. The Allen's are the family I used to Nanny for, so it was great to see Jack again. I started nannying for him when he was 3 days old and now he is about to turn 3 years old in a few weeks!
James brought Karlee over to play for a while! The pictures are of Jack and Karlee playing together!

Celebrating 2 YEARS!!!!!!!!!!

James and I celebrated our two year anniversary on May 12th!!!! I can't believe it has been two years already. We have been blessed these last two years with so much....one big blessing was Karlee!!!!! When we got married we had said maybe start trying to have children in about 2 years which would be now, but we could not even imagine it any other way.
James is an amazing husband and father! I feel so blessed to have him as my soul mate!
I look forward to what God has in store for us in the years to come!

I really enjoyed my first mother's day with Karlee! It is the best feeling to be a mother! We spent all day Saturday with my mom and then went to Clarksville on Sunday to be with James' mom and Gran. Sadly we couldn't be with Grandma Alfonso or Mam-maw Rhea but we enjoyed talking with both of them. You all mean so much to us and we are thankful to be blessed with you as our family!
Also, It was a lot of fun doing Karlee's first art project with her...Thank you Aunt Morgan for helping us make the Mother's day cards! We had a great time!

I just think Karlee is to active for her age!!! She is so determined to whatever is on her mind! She likes to pull up on me and then try to take steps. I just want to say.....SLOW DOWN GIRL!!!! I think she could be an early walker but I pray we have at least a few more months!!!!

On Saturday, Karlee spent the day playing with Grandma, Grand-daddy and Sophie while Aunt Jodi and I made baby food. Of course James and Chad were here too. I'm leaving it up to Jodi to post about the baby food process, but we made around 180ish cubes of food and figured it up to saving somewhere close to $100. We had a lot of fun! (You can look under our blogs we read and click on Chad and Jodi+one to see some picture of food making!)
Saturday evening Pap Pap (James' dad) came over and took us to dinner. So, Karlee had a fun day with grandparents.
On Sunday after church Nay Nay (James' Mom) called and said her and Aunt Sarah were coming to visit. So, Karlee had a nice surprise when she woke up from nap. Nay Nay took us out to lunch and we had fun playing with Karlee at the house!
We have such a great family. We are so thankful for all the support and love.

As you know from the last post I said Karlee is now pulling up on everything....we found that out when James walked in to get her out of bed and she was standing with the rail about at her bellybutton. So, James immediately took the bed apart to lower it to the lowest level....I didn't even get a chance to take a picture!!!! So, then we took her to the living room to see if she would pull up on anything else and she went straight to her toy and stood up!
Also, on Saturday James' dad, Pap, came over to spend the day with us!!! James and I had planned on doing yard work and he wanted to join us! Pap wanted to buy us a tree for our back yard so we went tree shopping, but we haven't decided on anything yet. So, the day ended up James and Jim watching the hockey game while Karlee slept and I went to Lowe's and got mulch and some greenery for the front yard. They worked on the yard that evening. It was a fun day with Pap....Karlee loves her Pap so much!

I just can't believe it....my baby is growing so fast! Karlee turned 7 months on April 22nd. She is growing like a weed. She weighs around 18 pounds and she won't stay still long enough to get her length! She is crawling really fast these days, pulling up on everything and making all kinds of sounds. The Easter Bunny had babies in our yard!!!!

James was mowing our grass yesterday and found this sweet little bunny living in the tall grass beside our house. He tried to catch it so he would not hit it while mowing and it jumped up to our front door. He told me and Karlee to come look and this is what we saw. It was so cute! We tried to feed it a carrot!!! So, James caught it and took it to an open field by our house....hopefully it is still alive somewhere!
